The keys to becoming your most athletic and lasting self:
Stability & Balance
Core strength
Flexibility
Plyometrics & Speed
Cardio
Strength, last but definitely not least.
These are the building blocks of becoming your most athletic, versatile and badass self. Here’re some examples of each in the same order
▫️Balance & Stability practices: single leg exercises, posture corrections for stability, nailing down the perfect squat with your bodyweight, engaging the core in every movement to stabilize the entire body
▫️Core: focus on deeper/spinal core muscles w/ an exercise like a plank (no body movement at the core), focus on global muscles with reverse crunches (movement at the torso)
▫️Flexibility: stretch dynamically before a workout and statistically after a workout—this is huge for injury prevention
▫️Plyometrics & speed: practice jump squats with stabilization and box jumps with stabilization; for speed incorporate sprints into workouts—all of this builds overall power & force!
▫️Cardio: try a 1-2 mile jog for your heart—cardio is a necessary part of your health routine
▫️Strength: Incorporate resistance training into your workouts 3-5x a week—think dumbbells & machines & resistance bands. Muscle is everything!
