If you’re anything like me, travel can be a bit stressful. I’m the anxious type, so I like to be sure I’m ready well in advance (I also love to be at the airport early!). I wanted to share of my top tips for travel.
1) pack snacks and bring a water bottle! There’s nothing worse than being hungry and having no food (or paying the absurd prices at the airport!) and equally so there’s nothing worse than being dehydrated. Pack some easy snacks (like these Perfect Bars) or even some treats (like these candies) and get yourself a high quality water bottle like this Yeti I’m obsessed with. Also pack some electrolytes for maximal hydration, I love Paleovalley (try the watermelon) and Insaltd.
2) bring an eye mask. Whether you have a long or short day ahead—sometimes catching some Zzz’s or just ignoring your neighbor on the congested plane makes it so much better. I highly recommend this eye mask (it’s SO soft and acne-free).
3) prep a playlist or series of pod episodes ahead of time and download them. It’s one thing to randomly find music or a podcast as you go, but having something cued up that suits your mood and interest (whatever it might be) makes every moment of travel more pleasant.
4) bring a book or magazine. An underrated tip that sadly is going out of style—but I’m a sucker for a good health mag.
5) bring mints or chewing gum—stop asking your friend for the 100th time.
6) have an emergency kit: chapstick, deodorant, bandaids, hand lotion, hand sanitizer, benadryl, advil, etc. I personally am the woman with 1 million items on me but they literally always get used somehow.
7) if you’re as anxious as me, bring an extra pair of socks. I always sweat through the first pair on longer travel days (icky, but real).
