The best breakfast? A high protein one.
Protein is the building block of so many bodily functions: your muscular growth, your digestive system, your immune system, your healing, your recovery, your metabolism, your hormones, etc. You need protein to thrive. With that, protein is the nutrient that promotes fullness and controls your blood sugar.
When you start the day with protein, you balance your blood sugar–leading to improved energy levels (all day)–the ability to avoid crashes, a feeling of satiety (when you don’t get protein your body will keep you hungry until you do), improved recovery all day, a faster metabolism (due to the energy protein requires to digest) and proper physical nourishment.
When you start your day with just carbs or fats–your body will continue seeking protein and this will leave you feeling particularly hungry. Furthermore, your body on solely carbs tends to be less energized (think lethargy and brain fog!), has slower and poorer overall function and you also tend to recover less optimally.

Kicking off your morning with protein is a recipe for success, literally!
