How to fit Racing Into a Busy Life

How to fit RACE TRAINING into a BUSY life.

The #1 barrier to success when it comes to running is TIME. We are BUSY people! But here’s the thing: most often the time barrier…is just an excuse. You just don’t want to do the things you have to do to make it happen. So here’re some tips:

1: wake up and workout. Putting off your running only allows for other distractions or priorities to steal that time. Set an alarm, before the kids are up or the work clock starts, and get your run done.

2: go to bed EARLIER so you can wake up earlier. Those last minutes of the day you spend scrolling can be spent SLEEPING.

3: plan with those around you. Set your clothes out, know your schedule, prep your breakfast when you’re making your kids’, pack your gym bag. Get your family on board with your goals!

4: with that, realize than ANY time invested is still HUGE! Even if it’s a 20 min run every morning, 20 mins of weights, etc. Any effort is better than none.

5: have an accountability partner. Find someone who will hold you accountable to your running goals. And consider being that person for another!

6: make training a PRIORITY in your day because health is wealth, even outside of your training. When your health suffers, so does everything else in your life.

7: lastly, make it FUN! Find a way to make that training schedule joyful. Join a group? Work with a coach? This makes it so much easier to make time for.

These are some tips to make your training happen in a very busy life.
